After taking hundred of picture I was able to catch one flash of lightning
Cathay Pacific Revamp their 777

On my way to Singapore, I took Cathay Pacific and it was one of their revamped 777…
Usually during take-off and landing we cannot use the multimedia panel in front of us to let the full power to the aircraft itself in case their is an issue or sometime it display information related to the journey. In these revamped 777, we can have the possibility to watch the embedded camera which is located just behind the undercarriage which is coool !!!
During the landing and if it is day light, it is very impressive to see the airstrip comes nearer and nearer…

Look Left or Right ??

I was walking in Tseun Wan on Saturday after watching the Rugby test match New Zealand vs France @ Outback; it was perfect, good beer and large screen and the “plus” was that for the first time I didn’t have to wake up at 3 in the morning (thank the timeshift) to watch it because it was broadcasted from New Zealand…
Back to Tsuen Wan, I just saw this while crossing the street, where should I look
Usually when it is clear it’s very useful for people like me who are used to drive on the right side of the road…
Is it really worth ??

I was walking in the Landmark, where you can shop Dior, Chanel, etc…. Looking for a sandwich from L’atelier of Robuchon (Ham and Camenbert, so gooood) and buying some tickets for the show of Above and Beyond next Friday.
In one part of the mall there was also a watch, clock shop, some of the models were really nice but so expensive arf….
One of the model was 1.765.000 HKD, and it doesn’t look like it was worth it… It looks very cheap, a Swatch looks even better !!!

by admin on Jan.16, 2009, under Hong Kong

One of the most useful shop in Hong Kong, you can do whatever you want there, almost…
Recharging your octopus, buy food/drinks/medecine/magazine, prepare your own hot dog, order your breakfast, etc… and 7/7 24/24…
Resident of HK
by Nicolas on Dec.19, 2008, under Hong Kong
Because I’m working in HK, I need to apply for an ID.
After making an appointment online, I went to the immigration office, and I was really surprised by the efficiency of the government staff.
You just have to come with your passport then take a ticket and wait for your number to be called while you fill in a document. After 15 minutes, I had to see an clerk, she took my picture and my thumbs’ print. Then wait again for few minutes, meet an officer to check your name and thumb’s print that told me to come back in 2 weeks to get my new ID.
After two weeks, you just need to show up, and in 5 minutes you get out of the Immagration tower with your new ID.
In France where I come from, it will take you 3 weeks (and maybe even more…) and lot of administrative paper to do it…….
Someone told me that last year, the HK government re-new their ID for their entire population, in only one year…. Try to do this in France!!!!
