Galaxy Nexus : How to Read the Galaxy with Windows XP

by on Dec.22, 2011, under Geek

Yesterday I needed to get a video I’ve done on the Galaxy Nexus. The video was too big to be sent by email; the only to get it was to connect the Galaxy Nexus to my Computer.
My computer is running under Windows XP and the Gaxlaxy was not recognized… I’ve searched for driver but there is nothing for Windows XP….
The only way to get you Galaxy Nexus working with Windows XP is to get Windows Media Player 11 installed on your comnputer, I guess that during the installation; it also install the latest driver to get the MTP connection working between Windows and the Galaxy Nexus… It’s here if you don’t know how to use Google !! : WMP11
It’s been a long time I didn’t install a Windows software; I forgot that you have to reboot your computer !!!!

For the Win7 user; I think it’s automatically recognized.
For the Mac users; you have to download a software which is available on the website of Android : Android-File Transfer.

Unboxing the Galaxy Nexus

by on Dec.17, 2011, under Geek

The Galaxy Nexus has just been released in Hong Kong yesterday: 16th of December.
My old Google Nexus One was starting to fail: the power was not very responsive….
Fortunately I managed to get this new Galaxy Nexus…

The design of the box is nice; once you open it there is the phone and some accessories, I insist on some because there is almost nothing…
The charger (which can have multiple plug), earphone (I won’t even bother to try them), and a cable.
Nothing to protect it like the “pocket” we got delivered with the Nexus One.

Here is some picture of the unboxing.

I just got the phone so the review will come a little bit later.

Cathay Pacific Revamp their 777

by on Sep.08, 2009, under Fun, Hong Kong

On my way to Singapore, I took Cathay Pacific and it was one of their revamped 777…

Usually during take-off and landing we cannot use the multimedia panel in front of us to let the full power to the aircraft itself in case their is an issue or sometime it display information related to the journey.  In these revamped 777, we can have the possibility to watch the embedded camera which is located just behind the undercarriage which is coool !!!

During the landing and if it is day light, it is very impressive to see the airstrip comes nearer and nearer…

Look Left or Right ??

by on Jun.22, 2009, under Hong Kong

I was walking in Tseun Wan on Saturday after watching the Rugby test match New Zealand vs France @ Outback; it was perfect, good beer and large screen and the “plus” was that for the first time I didn’t have to wake up at 3 in the morning (thank the timeshift) to watch it because it was broadcasted from New Zealand…

Back to Tsuen Wan, I just saw this while crossing the street, where should I look ;-)

Where to look ??

Usually when it is clear it’s very useful for people like me who are used to drive on the right side of the road…

Is it really worth ??

by on May.26, 2009, under Hong Kong

I was walking in the Landmark, where you can shop Dior, Chanel, etc…. Looking for a sandwich from L’atelier of Robuchon (Ham and Camenbert, so gooood) and buying some tickets for the show of Above and Beyond next Friday.
In one part of the mall there was also a watch, clock shop, some of the models were really nice but so expensive arf….
One of the model was 1.765.000 HKD, and it doesn’t look like it was worth it… It looks very cheap, a Swatch looks even better !!!
